1. Information We Collect

Account Information: Email address, name, and authentication data when you create an account.

Player Information: Player names, jersey numbers, positions, birth years, team names, leagues, photos, and biographical information you provide.

Game Film: Video files you upload for analysis. These are stored with our video hosting provider (Mux).

Game Statistics: Goals, assists, and other statistics you manually enter.

Payment Information: Processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.

Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide the AI analysis service; generate player development reports; display public player profiles (when you choose to make them public); send email notifications about report completion; process payments; improve the Service; and communicate updates.

3. Children's Privacy

RinkIQ is designed for use by parents and guardians of minor hockey players. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. All player profiles for minors must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. Parents may request deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting info@getrinkiq.com.

4. Public Player Profiles

When you create a player profile, certain information may be visible publicly including: player name, jersey number, position, team, league, age group, photo, bio, game statistics, and AI analysis scores. You control what information is added to the profile. Player profiles appear in our public directory and may be indexed by search engines.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored using industry-standard services: Supabase (database), Mux (video), and Supabase Storage (photos). All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. We implement reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

Supabase (database and authentication), Mux (video hosting and streaming), Stripe (payment processing), Anthropic (AI analysis — video frames are sent for analysis), Namecheap (email), and Vercel (web hosting).

7. AI Processing

When you upload game film, frames are extracted and sent to Anthropic's Claude AI for analysis. This processing generates the development reports. Video frames are sent as images and are subject to Anthropic's data processing policies. We do not use your data to train AI models.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Video files may be retained based on our video hosting provider's policies. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing info@getrinkiq.com.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; delete your account and data; export your data; and withdraw consent for data processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact info@getrinkiq.com.

10. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
